The GOLD company was established 1953 from Mr. Karl Gold in Oberkochen/Ostwürttemberg.
The company belongs to the late establishments of the hereditary woodworking tool industry. As Mr. Karl Gold died in 1982, his son Josef Gold became managing director, which he is up to now.
His daughter and successor Alena Röhrer, née Gold,
has been working in the company since 2003.
Oberkochen is located about 10 minutes car ride of the A7 between Würzburg and Ulm. The distance to Ulm is 50 km and to Stuttgart 90 km. Since the establishment in 1953, the company first was near the city centre of Oberkochen in the Heidenheimer street 42.
In 1978 a new factory in the industrial area “Gewand Schwörz” in Oberkochen was built.
In 1987 a supplementary production hall was added.
In 1991 the office area was modified and improved.
Since the establishment of the Gold company over 50 years ago, we are engaged in the scope of mechanical woodworking. The range of products includes all kind of tools for the small joinery or carpentry or window producer as well as for the furniture-, window- and door industry. Further they are also used by hobbyists.
The development and production of REVERSIBLE TOOL SYSTEMS for the manufacturing of wooden windows and doors has got priority in our efforts.
Our tools will be produced according to your individual wishes and your profile instructions, regardless whether you produce on a window machining center, a CNC-working station or any other machine.
A price for excellent results of our woodworking tools has been awarded to our company twice.
In April 1997 a Quality-Management-System QMS according to DIN-ISO 9001 (EN29001) was adopted.
Development and Production
All tools are designed and redesigned in our own house. Our tools represent the worlds highest safety standard and they are subject to serve safety regulations. They also fulfill the new DIN EN-NORM 847-1.
We are producing in extensively automated process engineering. CNC-processing allows high production- and quality standard.
Also in construction, development and marketing we work with the most modern technologies like CAD for construction, DTP for advertising and graphics, PCs in a network for order processing and accounting.
An enterprise lives through his staff members, in the production likewise as in the administration and in the marketing. Of course the mechanization has established itself also here since many years in form of modern computers, however without the persons who serve it, all this technology would be worth nothing. The personal contact between people can´t be replaced by automats. Also the informative expert talk or the sales advisory service locally at the customers company or at international trade fairs.
